Foreword:
CMC has been widely used as body binder in ceramic production for a long time, and it enjoys good reputation due to its pronounced performance in strengthening the tile body. However, its high viscosity will cause the discharging of slurry more difficult, and more deflocculant is needed to smooth the procedure,results in lower ball milling efficiency and higher production cost.Besides high viscosity,CMC has another potential disadvantage,that is,while using it in high temperature,body CMC will be corroded by microbe,and its viscosity will drop sharply till lose effect as time goes by. In view of this,we developed the new body CMC,which could overcome the above mentioned disadvantages.
Advantages :
1. Could enhance the body strength obviously and will not lose effect after 24hours’ storage like cellulose.Its performance after 48~72 hours’ aging is comparable or better than normal body CMC.
2. Low viscosity,only about 20% as normal CMC.It brings tiny impact to the fluidity of slurry,so less deflocculant is needed,or water content could be reduced under same flow speed,and the efficiency of ball milling could be increased.
3.Good strength stability,the strength drops just in very small range during the aging process and as time goes by.
4.Lower cost, only about half price of the normal body CMC .
5.Could increase the whiteness of body by 3-5 degrees comparing with the normal body CMC.

II.Appearance: white powder
III.Application: General dosage of the CMC-BL is 0.1%〜0.3%,depends on the proportion of plastic clay and the performance of press machine.It is suggested to confirm the dosage after laboratory and pilot tests.
VI.Storage method & instruction: Keep sealed ,store in dry and cool place.The product’s performance should be judged not only by testing its viscosity or flow speed of solution but also by testing the strength of small samples after drying.
